Ankur has a rich experience advising clients on the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), including licensing, analysis of products for coverage under quality control orders, and representations before various ministries and departments.
He represents governments and private clients in defending their interests in relation to free trade agreements, minimum import prices, and other technical barriers to trade. His expertise includes rules of origin, market access under free trade agreements, government procurement, Make in India public procurement policy, and sanctions and export controls.
Ankur specialises in WTO laws and trade remedies namely anti-dumping, safeguards, and countervailing duties and has handled over 150 investigations. He has represented Indian and multinational clients before the Directorate General of Trade Remedies (India), the European Commission, and the U.S. Department of Commerce among others.
